Florence is one of my favorite cities of Italy. I have been there with a friend of mine last year, and I fell in love with this place. People are really kind, the culture of the town is awesome, and the food is amazing. There are many gluten free restaurants there. La Luna was one of my favorites because they had chocolate calzone!! So let’s know more about this gluten free pizza place in Florence.
It is situated on the East part of the town, on Via Vincenzo Gioberti.
La Luna has a wonderful staff that knows everything about the gluten free diet. The restaurant can be quickly full on friday and saturday so get there early, or book a table 🙂
I remember this place for their gluten free chocolate calzone, as I just said a bit earlier. It was amazing. After getting a salty pizza and got that one (which was soooo good) I was so full! The pizza pie is homemade, and really delicious. They also propose gluten free pasta that I, unfortunately, didn’t try. I was too full, I promise haha
Otherwise, I really enjoyed eating in their terrasse outside, which had a really good mood and atmosphere that we stayed a bit longer after diner to share some drinks.
A thing you should really know about this place: La luna is part of the AIC, which is the italian coeliac association. So if you have a big allergy, you won’t have any problem of cross contamination. They cook the gluten free in a different oven, to make sure that everything is safe for coeliacs.
If you are too far from this place, you can also go on the other side of the town to eat at an other gluten free pizza place in Florence called at this Ciro & Sons.
Let us know how you like it and don’t forget, travel, eat & enjoy
