Yes, the typical chocolate mousse, which you can eat anywhere, is generally (I say generally) gluten-free. Only 3 ingredients to make it: no sugar, no lactose, no flour. So of course gluten free chocolate mousse exists! Are you ready to find out more?

To make a creamy chocolate mousse, you’re going to need:

  • 1 bar of chocolate, i.e. 200 g of dark chocolate.
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 eggs (yes it’s a lot, but that’s what makes it so delicious!)

STEP 1: Melt your chocolate in a double boiler. When it is melted, stir a little bit, and let it cool down.

STEP 2: Separate the whites from the yolks.

STEP 3: Put a pinch of salt in your bowl with the egg whites and beat your whites until stiff.

STEP 4: Gradually mix your melted chocolate with the egg yolks.

STEP 5: Add your egg whites to the yolks and chocolate mixture very gradually. Gently mix your preparation from bottom to top. Be careful not to break the egg whites to get a nice, well-swollen mousse.

STEP 6: Put your preparation in small bowls, or in a large dish, and let rest at least 3 hours in the refrigerator!

Enjoy it cold, with a small coffee, gluten free biscuits, or alone… It’s so good, I’m sure you’ll love this naturally gluten free chocolate mousse!
