Have you ever heard about the Coeliac Australia association? Well, well, in 2017, this association gave an accreditation to Mediterranoe Charcoal for being the perfect place and the safest one for coeliac. So here you are, coeliac in Melbourne, this place is where you have to be !

You want to know why I guess? Because they cook all their non-gluten free meals outside of the gluten free kitchen. Indeed, there are only 2 desserts that you won’t be able to eat.

Gluten Libre normally promotes restaurants that offer “not naturally gluten-free” dishes: restaurants that serve pasta, burgers, pizza, wok poke bowl etc.

Here is a restaurant that is 98% gluten-free and provides dishes that are more or less naturally gluten free.

But why did we make the target of this restaurant? Because it is accredited and certified gluten free and also for the origin of its products which are cooked with typical charcoal. Between beef, local fish, seafood and seasonal vegetables, this restaurant will drive you nuts!

If you are a wine lover, this place will suit perfectly to you. Indeed, Mediterraneo’s long wine list has won the prestige Two Glasses Award in the Gourmet Traveler Wine Magazine in 2015 and 2016. (Always drink in moderation 😉 )

This steak house has a little weak point: there is the lack of choice for vegetarians …

Finally, let’s talk about practical information: This restaurant is situated really close from St Vincent Gardens, and not fare from Albert park Lake. Check right here the destination.

Moreover, it is open every Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 12 pm to 2:30 pm and from 6 pm to 10 pm. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, it is open only at night from 6pm to 10 pm and it is closed on Monday.

There is an outside free street parking, wheelchair accessibility, any type of credit card accepted and it is perfect for family diner.
