Here’s the recipe you’ve been waiting for: vegan & gluten free falafel! It takes 15 minutes to make, and it’s super good, not fat, and very easy to make! So hurry, hurry, let’s get started. And yes, during this period … you will have time to cook!
So, here are the ingredients you’re going to need for about 4 people:
- 300 g chickpeas, soaked and cooked, of course
- 1 white onion not too big
- 2 tbsp. chickpea flour
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon cilantro powder (not necessary, but still not bad!)
- 1 small pinch of Espelette pepper (according to your taste)
- 3 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley
- 1 little bit of salt
Let’s move on to the method:
STEP 1: Preheat your oven to 180°.
STEP 2: In a blender, mix all the ingredients (yes yes all of them!) together, mix until you get a paste that looks like something good and yummy!!
ETAPE 3 : Take some of the dough in your hands to make cute little balls.
STEP 4: Put your dumplings on a baking sheet with baking paper, press the top of your dumpling with your thumb to flatten it (Careful, just a little!).
ETAPE 5: Bake these falafels for about 20 minutes, and turn them halfway through!
You can accompany these falafels with any sauce you like. I might go for something fresh and light, tsatsiki, or yoghurt with some herbs. It’s up to you!
I hope you will enjoy cooking these great vegan & gluten free falafel!
